1. Motivation is the word derived from the word ‘motive’ which means needs, desires, wants or drives within the individuals.

2. Motivation is one of the most important keys to success.

3. Motivation is defined as the process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviors.

4. Motivation is what causes us to act.

5. It is the process of stimulating people to actions to accomplish the goals.

6. Motivation is the inner power or energy that pushes toward acting, performing actions and achieving.

7. Motivation has much to do with desire and ambition, and if they are absent, motivation is absent too.

8. Often, a person has the desire and ambition to get something done or achieve a certain goal, but lacks the push, the initiative and the willingness to take action. This is due to lack of motivation.

9. When there is lack of motivation you either get no results, or only mediocre results, whereas when there is motivation you attain greater and better results and achievements.

10. To raise and develop the desire to work is the concept of motivation.
